One of my favorite ocarinas I've bought from here. Had a pleasant sounds, and the position of the holes makes it comfortable to hold for longer periods of time.

This is a lovely instrument. The fingering on it is a little different than I'm used to, but it isn't too hard to figure out. A very attractive piece that sounds good and plays well.

I had been waiting for this one to be restocked, regularly checking in without any luck. But as soon as I saw it, I ordered it! (With 9 available at time of ordering, it was sold out by the time it arrived.) The metallic luster on the DragonTooth is stunning and it sounds very nice. I especially liked the themed storage pouch as well as the songbo...Read MoreRead more about I had been waiting for this one to be

Q: I hear several people with small fingertips complain about the little finger hole. That it is difficult to cover it with small fingers. I have long fingers, but narrow tips. Are the holes small enough to cover easily? I have an ocarina and those holes are too big, it's such a shame.

A: On my dragontooth not including the subholes the front holes range from 0.2-0.4 inches and the thumb holes are 0.5 inches.
So if you have measuring tape or a ruler I guess you could make a mark on paper or cut small paper and see if your fingers are big enough to cover that size holes easily. :)

A: It's a nice piece of ocarina. But I find it not so easy to place my fingers.

Q: I really like the look and sound of the dragon tooth, but I have relatively small hands (6 inches from base of palm to tip of finger), and I'm worried that it will be uncomfortable to play. (Also I'm still growing so I don't want to invest in a tiny ocarina that will be uncomfortable in a few years...) Any suggestions?

A: The Dragon Tooth deffinitly takes a little getting used to, but in my experience, every ocarina takes a little getting used to. Every ocarina is shaped and angled slightly differently and they'll almost always feel weird at first when you're already used to another one. My hands are a bit bigger than yours, but I think the Dragon Tooth feels really good in my hands. Different, but good.

A: Tabs, no sheet music, although having sheet music with it would help a lot when learning the scales.
So if you have measuring tape or a ruler I guess you could make a mark on paper or cut small paper and see if your fingers are big enough to cover that size holes easily. :)
